About the Project
The Citizens Advice Bureau and Teignbridge Youth Service are teaming up to bring Dawlish (and surrounding area) a new service for young people. The project has been possible due to funding from Teignbridge Rural Regeneration Project, LEADER+.
LEADER+ is an European Union programme for community-led regeneration in rural areas.
The service is for young people aged 10 to 25 and offers advice, information and help with anything - The Team can help with issues around benefits, housing, accommodation, debt, employment, education, training, consuner issues, personal problems, family problems, sexual health...
The Team are based in the Riverside Youth Cafe, Barton Hill (car park - next to the brook under the CAB). If you can't come to them, they will arrange transport for you, at no cost to you.
FundingAs charities, Citizens Advice Bureaux rely on grants and donations to maintain core activities and to implement new projects. Government and local authority grants fund the core of our work (see our annual report for details). In addition we have a wide range of projects that also require funding. A number of corporate and charitable trusts already support the Citizens Advice service as donors or Friends of CABx.
